π’οΈ M&A to Slow Down in 2025?
Big Oil Wants in on Electricity Business
Good morning, here's what the OilPatch Team has for you today:

M&A Activity Set for Slowdown in 2025
Mergers and acquisitions in the oil patch are slowing down.
This year will see fewer deals, Enverus has forecast.
Buyers are just running out of targets.
While M&A activity in Canada's oil sector surged in Q4 2024, matching previous years, 2025 may see a slowdown. @CanadianNaturalβs $6.5B deal w/ @Chevron was the largest since 2020. @EnverusEnergy experts explain why via the pages of @PetroleumEcon

These men built the modern world with abundant and cheap energy. Listen now to Oilmen.

Big Oil Wants In on Electricity Game
Big Oil majors are always on the lookout for new growth opportunities.
Right now, electricity is the hottest one.
Big Oil is about to become Big Power.
Never seen this before. Nations biggest electric grid here in MidAtlantic area needs so much power that itβs turning to oil to make electricity (and exporting some energy to neighboring grids)
So cold everywhere.
