New Jersey Wants To Slap Fees on Operators
New Jersey is considering fees for oil and gas facility operators in the state.
The fees would go into a “superfund”.
The superfund will be used to “fight the effects of climate change.”
The Senate Environment Committee advanced the "Climate Superfund Act" from @JohnFMcKeon to hold fossil fuel companies liable for certain damages caused by climate change - and to create a stronger, more resilient New Jersey
